Reviewing the technology plan was interesting. It was nice to see that having a vision is required. Although it doesn't ensure that the vision will be followed, it's a start. In my experience, not having a vision has caused particular programs and initiatives to fail.

The fist day of class was very interesting. I learned all about avatars and second life. I told my wife (she is a third grade teacher)about siftables. She instantly came up with numours ways she could use them in her classroom.
ReplyDeleteI really thought I had a good handle on the whole technology thing, but when we were discussing different kinds of technoloy through the visible and invisible exercise, I felt that there was still so much I did not know! And I realized that possiblities with technology in the classroom were endless. I kept thinking about ideas for intergrating technology with instruction.
ReplyDeleteI felt I also learn quite a bit about tech plans. I never really knew they contained so much information. I think ours is only a couple of pages!It made me really think about the importance of documenting all information to show the accountablity of the district.
